Arun Vathavooran
Dr Arun Vathavooran was instrumental in establishing the ACT Foundation in Sri Lanka. He supervises the day-to-day project activities of ACT in Sri Lanka and enjoys taking part in hands-on service activities whenever possible. He is also a board member and chairperson of ACT Foundation Sri Lanka.
Arun’s passion for service, especially feeding hungry beings, led him to volunteer at the ACT Foundation in the UK and then subsequently take a lead role in the activities of the ACT Foundation in Sri Lanka.
Arun holds a Ph.D. in Mineral Processing from the University of Nottingham, UK. He is a chartered mineral processing engineer with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry acquired through engineering, research, and consulting roles.
Arun lives with his wife and two children in the UK and enjoys feeding other beings, particularly birds. He is fluent in English and Tamil.
