Arun Aarooren
Mr Arun Aarooren joined the ACT Foundation’s team in January 2023 and supports the day-to-day operations. He was instrumental in setting up a system for managing the Foundation’s financial activities and progressively managing it. He also manages the IT systems, including the website, and is a board member of ACT Foundation Sri Lanka.
Being someone who has been involved in various service activities in his younger days, Aarooren was inspired by the ACT Foundation’s mission around the world and its powerful impact on the community. He has joined hands with the Sri Lanka team to contribute to helping the helpless through selfless service.
Aarooren holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Telecommunications from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He is a chartered telecommunications engineer with over 25 years of experience across telecoms, mining, railway, and energy industries.
Aarooren is happily married and has established an intelligible lifestyle in Australia. He is fluent in English, Tamil, and Sinhala.
